Saturday saw the return of an old favourite for the children, sports colours day. It was run by Khun Dungdin Pattapee (Ney) and his Nong Khai foundation. Khun Ney has run many activities and developmental seminars for the children and teenagers of Sarnelli House and we are always grateful for his support.
Preparations started earlier in the week, as the children readied costumes, posters and standards for their teams. The day began with a parade and some speeches, before the games commenced, with chairball, futsal, water balloon relays and other team races filling the schedule. Everyone took part in something, with the kids also taking turns cheerleading and playing the drums to keep their team's spirits high. Our three German volunteers all participated as well. It was a long and fun day finishing in a giant barbecue outside the hall. For those keeping score, the yellow team won!
